When Ignite Sustainable Energy approached us, they were looking to increase their lead volume and expand their reach with a tailored approach across platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads.

We created a data-driven campaign strategy focused on efficiency, scalability, and measurable results.

Client Overview And Challenges Faced

Ignite Sustainable Energy helps eligible households access government-backed funding, like the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) schemes, to improve home energy efficiency. They work with local authorities and trusted partners to provide a smooth process from assessment to installation.

Their fully funded solutions target eligible homes, but operational capacity is limited—only two in-house surveyors handle retrofit assessments and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). Lead generation depends heavily on external sources, highlighting the need to boost in-house leads.

Though already using Facebook Ads, Ignite wanted to optimise performance and expand with Google Ads to reach prospects searching for ECO4 Grants online. The summer season also posed a challenge due to reduced demand for heating-related services.

Our Strategy

Facebook Ads

We began by auditing the client’s Facebook Ads account to identify improvement areas and align with their goals. We launched location-based campaigns to pinpoint top-performing regions, testing various ad copies and creatives.

While experimenting with lead generation methods, we found Facebook’s native lead forms outperformed external landing pages, so we streamlined the campaign into one unified structure for better budget use and broader reach.

Using the client’s customer data, we created a custom lookalike audience to target and reach ideal prospects. A summer campaign was also developed to encourage early interest in heating services, generating more leads ahead of the winter peak season.

Google Ads

We created location-based Google Ads campaigns to track regional performance and optimise budget allocation. Conversion tracking was implemented from the start to identify where conversions were generated.

The account was built with targeted ad groups, optimised landing pages, and tested responsive search ads. We launched a Performance Max and Remarketing campaign to expand reach and re-engage visitors.

We also created a display ad ran which across all of Google's platforms to target users beyond search, including site visitors who didn’t convert. Each campaign included service-specific ad groups with tailored copy, landing pages, and lead forms to qualify prospects before passing them to the client.
