In 2006, four years after leaving a 17 year long career with Lex Service PLC to join a start up static caravan finance and warranty brokerage, I found myself stood in an empty office just outside Blackpool, having just watched the local bailiffs walk out with my desk, my laptop and every file, pen and pencil I owned, I could have been forgiven for feeling a little sorry for myself.


Hi, Iβm Lauren, the Business Operations Manager (aka β the daughter of the boss, keeping things running day to day at Good Call).
Iβve been working with my dad for the past five years, starting out managing a single client campaign to now managing two incredible marketing experts while overseeing our client relationships.
After studying maths at university and spending ten years in hospitality, I struggled to find a career that truly suited my skill set. Marketing has been the perfect fit β it allows me to work with a wide range of businesses while putting my analytical skills to good use in reporting and strategy.
I genuinely love what I do and take pride in acting as an outsourced βin-houseβ marketing team for so many successful small businesses.

Good Call began in 2008 founded by Simon, who saw a clear gap in the market β a marketing agency dedicated to helping small businesses grow without the high agency costs.
His mission was simple: to offer honest, effective marketing support that delivered real results without breaking the bank.
That doesnβt mean growth happens without investment β effective marketing still takes time and resources. But at Good Call, we focus on getting the strategy right first. By testing, refining, and learning what works for each client, we make sure every pound is spent wisely before scaling up.

Over nearly two decades in the industry, Simon built long-lasting relationships with his clients β many spanning close to fifteen years β a testament to his genuine commitment to their success.
Good Call was also built with a long-term vision in mind: to create something successful that could one day be passed down to his daughters, Lauren and Rachel.
Now, Lauren is gradually taking over the day-to-day running of the business.
Working closely together, Simon and Lauren combine their strengths β Simonβs wealth of experience and proven strategies with Laurenβs people-focused approach and fresh perspective. Together, they continue to grow Good Call with the same purpose it started with: to help small businesses thrive.
After five years of working side by side, Lauren now leads Good Call into its next chapter β one focused on steady growth, adapting to an ever-changing industry, and continuing to give small businesses the support they need to succeed.
